JUL 29 - Small-Biz Lending Bill Negotiations Stall
Negotiations between Senate Democratic and Republican leaders on amendments to be offered to the ABA-backed small-business lending bill (H.R. 5297) broke down last night, raising the possibility that final consideration of the legislation could be again postponed. More Newsbytes 

JUL 27 - Case Shiller: Home Prices Up 1.3 Percent
According to the Case-Shiller Index, existing home prices rose in May by 1.3 percent. This was the second consecutive month of price appreciation. Of the twenty metro areas, only Las Vegas saw home price declines over the month. From a year prior,  the index was up 4.6 percent. More Perspectives
